Ring Oscillators Under Nonlinear Coupling: Bifurcation and Chaos

چکیده

The dynamics of two non-linearly coupled ring oscillators are examined in this study. Each oscillator consists three-stage inverters, through a resistor and diode. system is mathematically modeled by non-linear differential equations. A numerical phase plane, bifurcation, quantitative measures, like the Lyapunov exponent, confirm transition from periodic to chaotic oscillation broad parameter zone. implemented prototype hardware electronic circuit with bifurcation chaos observed experimentally. This can be used practical applications such as cryptography random number generation.

On the Nonlinear Modeling of Ring oscillators

We develop higher-order nonlinear models of three-stage and five-stage ring oscillators based on a novel inverter model. The oscillation condition and oscillation frequency are derived and compared to classical linear model analysis. Two important special cases for five-stage ring oscillators are also studied.
